Global Standards for the Microelectronics Industry
News Alert: JEDEC to Host Flash Memory Event at 2011 International CES
JEDEC Solid State Technology Association, the global leader in the development of standards for the microelectronics industry, presents “Flash Forward: Flash Memory Storage Solutions for Mobile Devices and Data Hungry Applications” as a conference partner program at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show.
An explosion of data-intensive apps for mobile devices is driving the need for versatile storage solutions, and flash memory dominates because it offers low-cost, high-performance storage for countless devices and computing products from smart phones to tablet computers. Speakers from Agilent, FormFactor, Micron, Montage, Qualcomm, RIM, Samsung and Toshiba will highlight flash storage trends and ecosystems, high-speed flash applications, Universal Flash Storage (UFS), solid state drives and e•MMCTM.
The event will include an overview of the latest updates for the widely-anticipated JEDEC UFS standard, which is slated for publication in the first quarter of 2011.
