JEDEC Presents Flash Memory Events and Engineering Education in Taiwan, Korea and San Jose, CA
Flash Storage Summits Highlight the Future of Flash Memory in Mobile and PC Markets
SSD and DRAM Tutorials Offer In-Depth Sessions on JEDEC Standards
ARLINGTON, Va., USA – AUGUST 9, 2010 - JEDEC Solid State Technology Association, the global leader in the development of standards for the microelectronics industry, is hosting Flash Storage Summits in Hsinchu, Taiwan on Wednesday, September 29, co-sponsored by the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association; Seoul, Korea on Friday, October 1, co-sponsored by the Korea Semiconductor Standards Association; and San Jose, CA on Monday, October 4. The Summits will feature a wide range of flash-related topics with major market impact, including universal flash storage (UFS) and solid state drives (SSDs). Adding to the program in San Jose, CA, JEDEC will also offer an in-depth technical seminar on SSD standards and design considerations on October 5, and a 2-day, detailed DRAM memory device and system technical education opportunity October 6 & 7. For full details, locations and registration, visit www.jedec.org.
Designers and engineers will be able to add considerably to their professional development by attending these events. Speakers include experts from several industry leaders such as Agilent, A-Solid Technology, IDT, Indilinx, Micron, Nokia, Phison, Qualcomm, Samsung, SandForce, Seagate & Silicon Motion.
“Flash memory is an increasingly popular storage solution with a wide range of applications, which presents a critical focus for today’s design engineers and their technical staff, one well suited for the focus of this Summit event series,” said Mian Quddus, Chairman of JEDEC’s Board of Directors. He added, “And the in-depth tutorials on SSDs and DRAM in San Jose will offer engineers the opportunity to interact directly with key industry leaders involved in the development of these standards.”
