double-diffused MOS (DMOS) technology

A technology for producing silicon-gate metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors such that 1) the threshold voltage, V_T, is determined by the intersection of two doping profiles, and 2) the device channel length is defined by the diffusion characteristics rather than by a photolithographic self-aligned gate structure.
